Last updated: June 2026. What FloatPaid collects, why, and how we look after it.
FloatPaid provides a virtual card that adjusts spending limits to a traveler's assignment city. The service is operated by FloatPaid ("we," "us," "our"). For any privacy question, write to jian@floatpaid.xyz.
Account details. Your name, email, specialty, and the assignment information you provide — city, start date, and contract length. You give these to us directly when you join and sync.
Card activity. To enforce limits and show balances, we process transactions made on your FloatPaid card. This is used to run the card, not to profile you.
Product usage. We collect aggregated, anonymized analytics about which screens and features are used so we can improve them. This cannot be tied back to an individual.
We use your information to operate the card, calibrate limits to your posting, split your stipend into envelopes, communicate with you about your account and the beta, and improve the product in aggregate. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing.
We do not sell your spending data. We do not build an advertising profile from your transactions. We do not use your assignment details for anything beyond tuning and running your card. Your money's movements are yours.
FloatPaid works with regulated financial partners to issue cards and move funds. Where a partner must process data to provide those services, they receive only what's necessary and are bound to use it solely for that purpose. Partner details are shared during onboarding.
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management, plus anonymized analytics to understand product usage. We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or third-party trackers. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser without breaking the core service.
We use encrypted transmission (TLS), access controls, and regular reviews to protect your data. No system is risk-free, but we treat the protection of financial information seriously and respond promptly to any issue we identify.
Account and assignment information is kept while your account is active. Transaction records are retained as required to run the card and meet financial-record obligations. Anonymized analytics are kept in aggregate form. Close your account and we delete personal data we're not legally required to keep.
You may request access to your data, correction of anything inaccurate, deletion of your account, or a portable copy of your information. Email jian@floatpaid.xyz and we respond within 30 days.
We may update this notice. Material changes are emailed to registered users and posted here with a new date. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised notice.
